Curtis Howard Ballantyne

It is with great sadness that the family of Curtis Howard Ballantyne announces his sudden and tragic passing on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the age of 22 years in Selkirk, Manitoba. Curtis will lovingly be remembered by his parents Loretta McGinnis and James Ballantyne, his brothers Cody (Michelle), Jamie and sisters Karlee (Jordan) and Kara. Curtis also leaves behind his nieces and nephews Lashaya, J’Lyn, Caralynn, Brenton, Madalynn, Adonis, Evander, Eliza and Emmett. His grandma Charlotte McGinnis and many numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Curtis was predeceased by his grandparents Clarence McGinnis, Lillian and Howard Ballantyne, his godmother Lisa Ballantyne, his uncle Wesley Ballantyne, aunties Maryanne McKay, Hannah Flett, Janice Ballantyne and his cousins who he had a special close relationship with Garrett Thrones and Sean McGinnis.
Curtis was born July 7, 1997 at 7:07 in the evening at The Pas, Mb. He was our lucky number seven as he became the seventh to complete our family. Curtis had a big passion for pet dogs and he loved his puppies that passed on Pepsi and Foofoo. He had a smile that would light up a room and even though he was shy, he still had a charm to make you feel at ease. He also loved all his nieces and nephews and especially liked to hang out or play games with J’Lyn, Caralynn and Brenton. Curtis loved skateboarding; music; hanging out with friends (mom give me a ride to Noah’s or mom can you pick me up at Noah’s was a norm) and family. He loved playing outdoors with his siblings, cousins and childhood friends. He also enjoyed playing video games as well. He liked travelling, fishing, family vacations and especially family gatherings. He enjoyed his quad outings with Brayden McKinnon, Grafton and Josh Hopkins. Curtis had a kind, gentle heart and loving bound with his mom Loretta. He enjoyed and looked forward to the ‘business’ trips with mom, mainly because of the quality time spent with her and not the daily take out food. :) Celebration of Life: Wakes Monday December 2 and Tuesday December 3, 2019 Church of redeemer Opaskwayak, MB Funeral service Wednesday December 4, 2019 1pm
