Margaret Donald, April 8, 1960 – October 25, 2023
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Margaret (aka Marj). Marj is predeceased by her parents (Thomas and Rose Donald), her brothers (Alvin and Bill), sisters (Irene, Arvadell, Gertrude, Anne, Verna, and Leona) and niece and best friend Sprout. Marj was a devoted mother, nannie, auntie and friend. Marj is survived by her 5 beautiful children, Trevor (Jessica), Jasmine (Dale), Trina (Steven), Tommy (Dineen) and Aiden; her brother Marvin(Kerry), her grand children and the loves of her life, Paisley, Sebastian, Nora and Dylan, nieces Tara-Lee, Marcy and Lori, and special nephews and niece Ethan, Gentry, Kingsley, Sugar, and Dumplin.
Marj’s passion was her family and friends, you could call Marj at anytime of the day and she was there to listen and talk or even just to give you a ride if needed.
Marj was born on April 8, 1960 to Tom and Rose Donald. Throughout Marj’s adult life, she worked at the Merch, Lord High Tavern, Community Living and the Selkirk Army, Navy and Air Force. On occasion, Marj also volunteered at the Selkirk Hospital in the gift shop.
We wish to thank doctors, nurses and all the staff in the emergency department of the Selkirk & District General Hospital for their excellent and kind professional care and compassion to Marj, and her children and friends that stayed by her side.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Selkirk Legion on Thursday, November 2 at 1 pm. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to go towards an educational fund for her youngest boy, Aiden Kirkness.
