MERVIN JAMES FLEURY
JULY 10, 1973-- January 21, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mervin Fleury, our beloved partner, brother, father, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. With Kim, his love/companion by his side, Mervin passed away suddenly at 7 Oaks Hospital on Sunday January 21, 2024 at the age of 50. Mervin will be sadly missed by his companion Kim Beardy, their son Jerrett Beardy,
and his children Marissa, Mervin Jr, and Kristan and their mother Jacqueline. His stepchildren twins Faith and Hope whom he raised as his own, Brittany, Dakota, Robertia, Brynlee, Carly, Bentley, Kingsley. His siblings Deloris Tanner (Bobbie), Calvin Fleury (Brandi), Norville Fleury, Frankie Fleury, Norma Fleury, Lionel Fleury (Annette) and Patsy Fleury (Kevin). He also leaves behind his father-in-law Jacob Beardy whom he lovingly referred to as dad, his uncle Noel and the rest of his Beardy family whom he loved very much. Mervin was predeceased by his parent’s mother Agnus Fleury and father Edward Vermette. Mervin lived in Winnipeg with his best friend and soul mate Kim, and with their son Jerrett and her children. He was a wonderful humble man who worked hard daily to make sure everyone was taken care of; he was passionate about caring for others and helping out when needed. He always made sure Dad had coffee in the mornings, when dad was hospitalized Mervin made several trips a day to bring him coffee or tea and muffins. He also enjoyed cooking for the family and cleaning up after dinner. He enjoyed outings with the twins and did many activities with them throughout the year, his face would light up with joy when he would see how happy they were. He was Kim’s greatest support for everything, he made sure she would get up on time for work and always drove her to work at 6:00 am regardless of how he was feeling. He always made sure everything was on time, in place and organized. After getting Ill last year, Mervin couldn’t return to his truck driving career which he missed very much. He often talked about returning as soon as he could. He took pleasure in staying connected with his children and his siblings whom he called often or talked to on Facebook.
