Russel Moar
August 28, 1940 – July 6, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our father after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
He leaves to mourn his children Kelly (Maggie) and Terri-Lynn, grandchildren Autumn-Lee, Kelcee-Lynn (Reggie), Riel (Victoria), Allie and Mackenzie, his sister Delores (Johnny) along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Angus and Mary Cecile Moar, his daughter Rhonda, brothers Leo, Nelson and Sidney and sisters Elsie, Lena and Marie (Verl).
Dad was born in Rorketon, Mb and lived his entire life in his home community of Crane River, Mb. Although having to leave for long periods to work, he would always return home. He was a man who enjoyed the outdoors. He was a farmer, a hunter and a fisherman who truly enjoyed the rural life. He was a man who loved to meet and talk to people and was always willing to offer a hand to anyone. He has now moved on to the next part of his journey and we look forward to him reuniting with those who have gone before him.
We would like to thank Cancer Care Manitoba and the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre for the compassion and care they provided to our father. Cremation has taken place and an Interment along with a celebration of life will occur once the Covid restrictions allow the family to gather.
In lieu of flowers, we would suggest donations in his name to Cancer Care Manitoba or the Holy Family Catholic Church, Crane River, Manitoba.
